About

We, Salesians of St. John Bosco, living in a fraternal religious community, administer SS Peter and Paul Parish. We collaborate with the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, Salesian Cooperators and other members of our Salesian family in ministering to youth and adults in North Beach and the greater Bay Area through our Chinese ministry, elementary school, Salesian Boys’ and Girls’ Club, sacramental programs, parish associations and activities.

Originally sent to San Francisco to minister specifically to the Italian immigrant population, we now continue our mandate, as a parish reaching out to others, through youth and family ministry. We also regularly visit and administer the sacraments to the many sick and elderly shut-ins in our parish and beyond.

We are challenged to serve also the significant and growing number of tourists, who visit our church, and the homeless poor in our midst.
